The Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BTAM) campaign aims to shed light on the challenges faced by children and families affected by brain tumours. Our primary goal, at The Daniella Logun Foundation (DLF), is to raise awareness about the impact of these tumours on young lives, emphasizing the emotional and practical struggles encountered by both parents and children. Through the campaign, we seek to amplify the voices of those directly affected, sharing personal testimonials and experiences to foster understanding and empathy within the community as well as the powerful impact of holistic wellbeing support being provided by DLF.
Let’s help them fight brain tumours,
because they can’t fight it alone.
Through our strong partnership with local authorities, NHS Foundation Trusts, academic institutions and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise organisations we, at DLF, seek to establish an integrated cross-functional multi-sector support network around the child and their family.
"We are proud to work with HeadSmart as the regional champions for Hillingdon and the North West. Do you live locally and have any symptom-questions? Do you wish to speak to someone? Please call 07760 411 888 or email enquiries@thedaniellalogunfoundation.org"
We are a childhood cancer support charity established out of lived experience and in memory of Daniella Logun.
Brain tumours develop and respond differently in children compared to adults. Not all brain tumours are terminal but sadly, many children with brain tumours will loose their mobility, sight, hearing, speech and language in just a matter of weeks. Nothing prepares a child or their family for the emotional, physical, spiritual/existential wellbeing challenges they will encounter after they are diagnosed with a brain tumour. This is the core reason we exist - to embed systematic and holistic thinking to the design and development of strategies that will improve the outcomes of the child and the family that cares for them.
Help us reach more children & young people
diagnosed with Brain Tumours and their families.
Where do I even begin. The Daniella Logun Foundation means so many different things to me. Since my daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumour 4 years ago they have offered nothing but kindness and support. I know I can call or text Angela at anytime with any concerns or questions, big or small, she welcomes me with open arms every time. Knowing you have a shoulder to cry on and an organisation who is there for you consistently means so much to me. They are not only that but the knowledge the charity has within the brain tumour community is fantastic. They help with anything from counselling to our children’s schooling, the list goes on. Angela and Terry provide a place you feel safe and loved and I honestly don’t think I would be where I am today without them. I’m privileged I can now call them friends and their work within the brain tumour community definitely doesn’t go unnoticed.
I love you guys dearly.
